Nettle Meadow Farm and Cheese Company is looking for an all around cheese plant assistant for our cheese plant in Lake Luzerne New York. This is a great opportunity to learn everything about the world of cheesemaking. Daytime hours (8-4:30 or 5) and year-round work. You will have the opportunity to work with a great group of cheesemakers and really expand your knowledge of the art of cheesemaking while working with some of the very best cheesemakers in the country. You will learn to pour cheese by hand, wrap cheese, pack cheese, clean equipment, and do all of the little things that makes our cheese some of the best in the world.

Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and to work as a team is important. A strong back and the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly at times are required.

Pay: $15.50 – $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 48 per week
